Transportation to & from Brodie Castle

Once you arrive into either Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Inverness, you will need to arrange for transportation from the airport to Brodie Castle. It is a short half hour cab ride from Inverness, or a 3 hour train ride, plus an hour cab ride from either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

By Car
We are situated by the A96 between Forres and Nairn. We are 4 miles west of Forres in the village of Brodie. Our postcode for Sat Nav is IV36 2TD.
By Bus

By Rail
The closest train stations are Forres and Nairn.
By Plane
Inverness Airport is approximately a 30 minute drive.
Aberdeen Airport is approximately a 2 hour drive.
By Taxi
You may easily get a taxi from the Invernes Airport to the door of the castle.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Bus: The”10” travels from Inverness to the driveway entrance of Brodie Castle and back. Please know that the entrance has a long drive to the castle so you would have to walk with your baggage across the long path to the castle.
It costs about 12 -17 dollars and takes 2 hours and 20 minutes.
Taxi: Taxi’s are available to take you from the Inverness Airport to the Brodie Castle doors and vice versa. They run between 35 and 55 US dollars and the trip takes about 20 to 30 minutes
Car: If you decide to rent a car, please know that the parking lot will only allow 5 cars to park overnight at the castle. We already have two cars that will be parking at the castle. Please let us know if you decide to rent a car during your stay, as the spots are very limited.
