Dear close family and select friends, I am offering a private, affordable retreat just for you. Enjoy staying in the Laird’s Wing of an 800-year-old castle with other people who love to explore, travel and relax. Walk the grounds of Brodie Castle, enjoy eating the local flare at Brodie Country Fare, or have a pint and a meal at a local Scottish Pub. Walk the Moray Coastal Trails, read and relax or photograph, sketch, or paint the scenery. Come with us to a few local sites, such as the historic Elgin Cathedral or Findlater Castle. Sit along the banks of Bow Fiddle Rock in Pitlochry and listen to the crashing waves and the calls of hundreds of shorebirds and other wildlife. Even though I am an artist, and will set up my easel to paint from time to time, you do not need to be a painter to go on this particular retreat, and may do whatever you like. You may stay at the castle or ride with me to these amazing locations to explore, hike, take photos, relax, shop, or paint with me. There is a local bus and train, so you may take either one and explore on your own. Up to you. Most meals ( except some breakfast items like coffee and muffins) are NOT included in this trip. However, we all will pitch in when we don’t go to a pub or Brodie Country Fare… to grab a few things at TESCO or a local farm stand to have easy on-the-go breakfasts and lunches. Most dinners will be experienced out at a nearby, really awesome pub! Brodie Country Fare is a short walk away as is Old Mill Inn and Pub, too. The castle also has its own cafe open from 9 to 2. You can also opt to pack a picnic and eat out on the lawn or on the picnic tables near the castle. There is SO MUCH to experience on this wonderful retreat! Join me in 2023!!!
